When it comes to advertising your business, whether you are marketing for your legal practice or are buying your own Google Ad space, there is always a question of quality over cost. Many people who are cost conscious, especially when they are starting their business, or are attempting to grow it for the first time, will jump on the opportunity to use free online resources and do things themselves. This often leads to disastrous consequences.
Because either the business owner loses out in doing their job and making a profit, by learning an extra trade from the ground up, or they only get the bare minimum of results because they don’t take the time to understand the nuances of the tools that they are using at all.
It would be like someone who knows nothing about auto repairs trying to read a manual and fix a car. Unless you are prepared to let that car sit for months on end while you take the time to learn how to fix it, or you are willing to watch a $100 problem turn into a $2,000 one, you should probably leave it to the professional.
It is the same with building a website, or coming up with a medical marketing strategy without the resources, research or knowhow involved. Just because you can, does not mean you should.
